Surrendering Resistance Arms Is a Betrayal of Martyrs’ Blood

The Lebanese Muslim Scholars’ Association reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the weapons of resistance, stressing that any call to abandon them represents “a betrayal of the blood of the martyrs.”

Hawzah News Agency- In a statement issued on the anniversary of what it described as an “exceptional and historic year,” the association noted that the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyid Hashem Safi al-Din — along with a number of senior commanders and hundreds of resistance fighters — has given this year a unique character and deeper significance.

The scholars said the legacy of these leaders continues to strengthen the resistance front, adding that martyrdom “does not diminish the ranks of the mujahideen, but rather expands and empowers them.” They cited the well-known words of the late Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah: “When we become martyrs, we become victorious.”

According to the statement, the nation has witnessed unprecedented public participation — from the massive funeral processions of the two senior martyrs to the large crowds marking the anniversary of their martyrdom, including the record-breaking rally of the Imam Mahdi (PBUH) Scouts. These events, it said, demonstrate that the sacrifices of the martyrs have only increased national awareness and strengthened public attachment to the path of resistance.

The association reiterated that the resistance remains firmly committed to its weapons and will stay in the field “until final victory over the Zionist enemy.” It outlined several key positions:

1. Any demand to surrender resistance arms is categorically rejected and viewed as treachery against the martyrs’ sacrifices.
2. The association reaffirms adherence to UN Resolution 1701, stressing that Lebanon has honored its obligations, while the Zionist regime continues its violations and must withdraw from all occupied Lebanese territory, release detainees, and halt its daily aggression.
3. Discussion of an “arms monopoly” is unacceptable until the enemy fulfills all its commitments and Lebanon is fully rebuilt from war-time destruction.
4. The United States cannot be considered a neutral mediator, the statement said, but is a direct party to the conflict due to its full support of the Zionist regime.

The scholars concluded that the resistance will remain firmly rooted, armed, and prepared for greater sacrifice until Lebanon secures its full rights and achieves comprehensive victory.
